Micro Metalsmiths range of Precision Investment Cast bends for use in waveguide applications have been designed to surpass the electrical and dimensional characteristics required in most American requirements.

These bends have been designed to optimise microwave performance over the full waveguide frequency range and all parts can be shown to have a VSWR of 1.05 : 1 max.

Mechanically the bends have been optimised to American standards thus eliminating any inconsistencies with cut-back dimensions.


Components are available in copper or aluminium alloy.  MB1 copper alloy has been specially developed to provide excellent corrosion resistance to handle the extremes of marine and atmospheric conditions.

Use of this material avoids the health hazards associated with processing the expensive and highly toxic Beryllium Copper alternative.

All parts have socket detail to suit standard wall waveguide and are available in either Aluminium with steel shot blast finish or Copper Alloy with grit blast finish using 60/40 alumina grit.
