REQUIREMENT:  The customer approached Micro Metalsmiths after being let down by his previous foundry. The customer came to Micro Metalsmiths upon recommendation from another customer. The requirement was for 50 workable machined parts required urgently. WHY MICRO METALSMITHS? Micro Metalsmiths was able to offer cast parts, fully machined and assembled on site. Micro Metalsmiths was able to produce 2 samples within a week of receiving the tools. One part was sectioned and polished to show the metal integrity of the component. The customer was able to supply machine drawings and due to the Micro Metalsmiths process we were able to produce the features as part of the casting process rather than being machined in later. Micro Metalsmiths then modified the tools in house within 2 weeks of receipt of full machine drawings and supplied machined and assembled parts in to the timescale required.
